Steps forward and backward

Henry has added some to his repertoire, and has backslid a bit.

He has a first word! To all that know him, it is no surprise that his first intelligible word is "up". Like ... "Get me out of this high chair" or "Get me out of this crib" or "Get me out of this car seat " ... "I want UP!!!".

He also has his first sign under his belt. He now can do a really rough sign for milk. Unfortunately, his doesn't look exactly like this ... it looks more like him shaking his fist!

He has also mastered the steps. He guns for them, starts climbing like a pro, and sits on the first landing and claps for himself. YAY Henry! Then it's a 50/50 choice ... climb to the top of Mt. Staircase or turn around to come back down. He's a quite talented boy.

On the flipside, he isn't really keen on walking at the moment. He is cruising well along walls, or holding onto something, or taking Daddy's hand, but he's not all that into taking steps on his own anymore. He drops right to his butt and starts crawling ... fast!
